Janet Shearer was born in 1953 and resides and works in a secluded valley near Ruthernbridge in the heart of rural Cornwall. After a thirty year international career as an artist specialising in hyper-realistic trompe l'œil paintings and murals, Janet has moved towards the more intuitive, impressionistic style of painting we see today.

Janet captures water and coastlines with an almost unbelievable reality . A viewer can feel the sand between ones toes and the paddle in hand .
